The Real Immigration Crisis

While some were surprised that a Labour government should boast implementing a draconian immigration regime, the issue has become more pressing and more divisive than almost any other, including the NHS and the economy. Reform’s rise in the polls, despite the absence of a coherent policy framework, has been largely based on its claim that it will stop immigration – some members talk about ‘remigration’ i.e. sending back people (i.e. ethnic minorities) with already settled status.

Illusions and Awakenings

Research shows trust in mainstream media is declining globally as audiences perceive political parroting, witness billionaire acquisitions.  Awakenings may not save Gaza, but understanding its significance and who are the perpetrators matters.

The Essential Collective Challenge

When there’s even a hint of a different approach (Labour’s ever diluted Employment Rights proposals or the NI Assembly’s Good Jobs Bill) that might move the UK towards hardly revolutionary European norms, the ear-splitting squealing of capitalist pigs is deafening. While some of their reaction is performative, it also hints at their vulnerability in that they know, historically, that collective, democratic challenge can stop the powerful acting with impunity.

Taking Favours

WITH new revelations coming out every day it would been easier to name those who have not met Jeffrey Epstein. Those who up to now have not been named but were acquainted with him must be living in trepidation that they will be next.

Defending the Homeland

IT is good to feel safe and secure in our homes and our countries but more and more this is less the case. The drive towards war in Britain and Europe is generally increasing. Recently there was the proposal to bring back national service –still an option- and now there is open talk about war with Russia. But it is a catch 22 as with the development of nuclear warfare they say we have to be ready for war with Russia, but that preparation brings on the war.

The Struggle Continues

On the 1st of February 2026 the annual Bloody Sunday march took a place in Derry observing the day in 1972 when 26 people were shot-14 of them killed by the British Army Paratroopers.

Unpopular and Misunderstood!

IRISH News columnist John Manley wrote a piece in the paper -27 Jan-under the heading “for God and Israel” which posed the question as to what lies behind unionism’s strong and enduring affiliation with Zionism?
