Blueshirts, Blackshirts and Fascism in Ireland-in the 1920’s-30’s

Friday 1st August-12.00pm-2.15pm

This year our guest speaker is historian Dr Brian Hanley will explain the background to the emergence of fascist politics in Ireland, north and south, during the 1920s and 1930s. He will look at the similarities and differences between groups like the Army Comrades Association and the British Fascisti and also those who opposed them.

After the talk participants are invited to Writes Square where we will lay flower at the Brigade memorial
