Bruton, Margaret Anne, nee Horton (1st June 1941-26 November 2025)
The Irish Communist Party is sad to hear of the death of Margaret, our comrade and friend. She made her home in Ireland in 1968 and devoted much of her life, working to make the world a better place for the many, not the few. She was editor of and helped to produce Unity the ICP newspaper for many years.
We send deepest condolences to her daughters, Julie and Jo-anne; her sister Lynda and brother in law, Ernest. Son-in-law, Norman; Kevin; grandchildren James, Sam, Dylan, Ella, Holly and Shea; her sister ; niece Daniella and great nephew and great nieces, Sebastian, Charlotte and Amber; her long-time comrade Barry, and wider family and friends.
“Our dearest possession is life. It is given to us but once, and we must live it so as to feel no torturing regrets for wasted years, never know the burning shame of a mean and petty past; so live that, dying, we might say: all my life, all my strength was given to the finest cause in all the world the fight for the Liberation of Humankind.” Salud
